Description: Shine your light on me….

When I visited here during Spring Break 2012, it was still located in San Blas. If you have never been in the San Blas area, its really beautiful. But due to erosion, they had to relocate the lighthouse to Port St. Joe in the last few years.

Luckily it was funded because it is my first lighthouse experience and I liked it. This is outdated information but when you visited the old place, you came up to a house and talked to the tour guide. I think the tour was $5 a piece, which is worth it. They take you up to the top of the lighthouse and you get to spend all the time you want up there. The ascent was via a very narrow spiral staircase. Once you got to the top, the view is… amazing. You can see for almost forever around you.

Sadly, I accidentally deleted all my Spring Break photos, so all I had left were the ones I posted on Facebook. Luckily I have enough to post on here so you get a general idea. Since the erosion problem and the move to Port St. Joe, it seems like they have been battling budget concerns. I really hope things work out great for them because the people were fantastic and the lighthouse was really nice.
