Initial Visit: May 6th, 2015
Description: A historic landmark where Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas gave speeches during the 1860 Presidential Election.
I loved this park. It offers a baseball diamond, basketball court, a gazebo if you want to have a cook out/birthday party, a playground and serenity.
Maybe it was just a perfect day that I visited, but I spent almost two hours here just enjoying the breeze, the sunshine and the quite. It’s a great park that’s semi-removed from the public, so it’s quiet and probably never that busy.
Plus, if you are a history buff, it’s a historic site where our president Abraham Lincoln gave speeches! There is a rock there commemorating it. 🙂
