Initial Visit: September 9th, 2015
Description: Withers Park. Not so much a park as an event area.
While walking around Bloomington, I stumbled upon this gem of a locale. While it has Park in it’s name, I think it’s a liberal use of the term. It seems to be a space used for local events. That’s what I gathered from Googling the place, at least.
There are nearby businesses and I bet this place is popular on a nice day around lunch time. If this was near my work, I would be here every gorgeous day out.
In the middle of the park, there is a fountain. It’s called Trotter Fountain. The plaque that accompanies the Fountain states that the Trotter family was from Ireland and were prominent business people in the Bloomington area.
Not much else to say about the Park. It’s a nice place to eat lunch, rest your feet and catch a local event.
