Description: This park is sooooo last millennium.

During a whirlwind day of exploring Chicago, we stumbled upon Millennium Park. I was not prepared for the awesomeness of this place. The park itself is massive. I thought we viewed most of it during this trip; google maps proved me wrong. There is so much more to this park than I thought.

While we didn’t see it all, we did see some stuff. Noteworthy was Cloud Gate. It’s the famous giant mirror-surfaced bean. No, seriously. There’s also a really cool metal shavings-looking amphitheater where they have shows, I presume. You can see a photo of it below.

With it being 7 years since I visited and it was a quick stroll through the park, I don’t have a ton to say. This place is worthy of a revisit to fully explore the whole place. Within the few blocks area is Buckingham Fountain. So, if you are a fan of the TV show Married with Children, you can walk over to the iconic Fountain in the show’s intro and see it for yourself.

If and when I get to revisit this area, I will update this post with additional information. 🙂
